I've been looking into them, and wondering what you might think about them?

Colorado College is awesome. It has a block program (you take one course at a time). It is a small school with a lot of emphasis on outdoor activities. I know someone who was recruited for lacrosse and is playing there. He loves it. Colorado Springs is an OK town, but the real neat part is the access to the mountains in Colorado. The academics are strong.

Colorado College is a very good school. Top-notch LAC in my opinion. Very good hockey team as well!

And Colorado Springs is lovely and it's a great collegetown, Air Force Acad. and CU-Colorado Springs are both located there.

Skidmore is also a great school, in small but beautiful Saratoga Springs, NY - known for being a tourist destination back in the horse track days.

Never mind "back in the horse track days" - the track is still going strong, and Saratoga Springs is still known as a tourist destination in the mountains. However, it is very small.

Search on the Parents Forum and you'll find several trip reports about Skidmore.

I used to live in CO Springs, its far from being a 'college town'. It's a huge city that just happens to have colleges there. Everything does not revolve around them, whereas most 'college towns' the only thing there is the college.

Colorado College is better academically, but Skidmore is much more well known.
