so if skidmore is sending unofficial acceptances to URMs before the rest of the applicant pool, will they be received tomorrow (the 17th)? or have those notifications already gone out?

Ughhhhh I didn’t get any emails from Skidmore… That makes me so nervous oh my god!!! Btw, what’s an URM?

An URM is an unrepresentated minority and is usually meaning African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans. I got an email even though I am Asian, so I guess for skidmore Asians also count as URMs!

Skidmore also counts some internationals and some low-income students as underrepresented minorities.

I wouldn’t worry if your kid hasn’t gotten an email yet, especially if s/he isn’t an URM. See this thread from last year: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/skidmore-college/1603470-skidmore-class-of-2018-rd-p1.html

My D hasn’t gotten anything either. 3/24 was the date last year.

Accepted as of Tuesday! I am Filipino, not sure if I am counted in as a URM

@stephayeon‌ the school emailed me saying that I was accepted and that an admissions packet would be mailed to me on March 24th

URM and no email yet… Don’t think anything has come in the mail yet, either. I live in FL. Fingers crossed.
