For a freshman with a 5 on AP Calc BC, any thoughts on the virtues of taking Math 223, as opposed to taking the “enhanced” version of Calc II, i.e., Math 124?
Or for that matter, how about the enhanced version of Calc III, i.e. Math 227?

If he understands the material from AP Calculus BC, I would recommend taking the credit and moving on to MATH 223 or 227. I only got a 4 on the BC exam, but I took the credit and I’ve been fine as a math major.
I would look at the syllabus for Calc 2 and see if he has covered everything. I think I would take 223 instead of 227 unless he is super into Math.
