So im in my junior year of hs right now and im taking alebra 2. This is because i didnt get into the advanced class in middle school since my teacher was bs. But now im doing really well in math and have been doing well the past years. I really wanted to take calculus in my senior year and was wondering if i could just take precalc classes over the summer going into senior year while studying/teaching myself at the same time. Im just wondering if this is allowed? And also is there another way i can skip precalc and go straight into calculus? Thank you
@Smileulookpretty you’re probably better off asking your current alg 2 teacher that question since schools have different policies regarding placement and summer credit. For example, they might let you take calculus if you pass a placement test.
I don’t recommend skipping pre-calc unless you are a very strong math student and already have a good grasp of the material.
Thanku!
