Skipping Questions on Fafsa

I was filling out my Fafsa and got the following option.

“Do you want to skip the remaining questions about your and your mother’s income and assets?”

I was wondering will skipping these questions affect me in any way? I live in the state of Texas.

This means that you probably have an auto $0 EFC…parent income below $29,000, and ability to file the 1050A or EZ…or eligible for a means tested benefit…or parent is a dislocated worked. Is this the case.

Or eligible for the simplified needs test…income below $49,999

So I can skip the questions without worrying about it affecting my financial aid?

The only reason you would need that info provided is if there is Texas state grant aid that requires it.

I don’t have the answer to that question.

You can skip them. If your state requires the information, the questions will not be grayed out.
