FAFSA HELP

Based on your answers to certain questions on the FAFSA, you may skip additional questions. If you decide to skip questions, doing so will not affect your eligibility for federal student aid.
However, some schools may require answers to these questions to determine your eligibility for college aid.
Select Yes to skip questions about your and your parents’ income and assets.
Select No to answer questions about your and your parents’ income and assets.

Accepted to public and private good colleges. Told by expert need to email each and ask. Assumed all would say not to skip, but took expert’s advice and emailed 4. Wishing had asked here first. Public that offered merit full tuition said to skip and can correct if needed later (most thoughtful detailed response). Private that offered partial merit did not sign name and incomplete 2 sentence response felt like came from student worker saying - would influence how much student got back and not good option to skip parent’s assets, income not mentioned (Expected better response from school and they did not acknowledge profile would cover above). Public instate had already asked for financial disclosure for scholarships with app. Got form response back. Called. Sounded like student worker, but said officer. Said they always tell students to answer all the questions, but would not answer my question. Please help.

Skip the questions. Like the public school said, if the school needs them, they will ask.

Thanks. Public instate school (discussed above) emailed that they allow students to use the skip-logic built into the FAFSA on the web.

I think I read before that it can depend on the state you live in too.

Emailed 4 and the last 1 (instate public univ) replied -The FAFSA is design with skip logic based on the information you are providing. If you are filling out your information correctly and are prompted to skip questions, it is safe to do so. ( 2 instate public univ. and 1 out of state public univ. said to use skip logic)
