Skipping the SAT Writing Section?

Well, for the schools in Florida they basically only look at the math and reading sections for admission and scholarship purposes. I've taken the SAT a few times prior, and my writing score is just fine. However, I need to increase by a few points in the other two sections. Would it be bad if I just skip the writing sections altogether during the exam and just leave them blank? I've already been accepted to my first choice college, but it's now a matter of getting a higher score for a particular scholarship. Also, all the colleges I've applied to have my past SAT score. So, do you think it would be okay or not smart if I focus only on the reading and math sections? Thanks in advance.

D had a friend who did something like this because he already had a high writing score. He was planning on using Score Choice so he made no effort on writing and wrote maybe one sentence in his essay. It caused his score to be “audited” or whatever (due to the sudden drop in performance) and delayed the processing of his scores quite a bit. So I think it’s fine to focus on reading and math but you should still make a reasonable effort on writing.

Oh gosh, I definitely don’t want that to happen to me! Thank you for letting me know! :)
