Hi. I'm an international student. Which of the three do you think is the best way to communicate with family outside of the US.
What about cell phones? Calling from home to the US is not very expensive. Can I take my cell to the US, or I have to buy it in the states to make it work?

Where are you from? I know for sure that cell phone signals are different in China (from the U.S.). It would greatly depend on the country in question.

As for your other questions, my father installed an Analog Telephone Adapter. We can use it to call anywhere. Our relatives in China also call us free. I'm not sure of cost of installation or monthly charges though.

You might get more help if you post this in the international forums.
