Slang in your area

I’m not sure as to whether or not this is slang word, but our history teacher last year would call everything he didn’t like “bunk”.

Dude, hella, ratchet, hyphy, bawwws, fasho, trip, shady, breh, brah, bruh, finna, deuces. dope, tight, ETC.

I use the term “ratchet” entirely too often.

Some from my area:
YOLO
fbgm
For real doe

“That’s so dank.” Dank = cool, awesome, etc.
“That’s so sketch/sketchy.” Sketch/sketchy = suspicious, unsettling.

We’re kind of weird in Colorado.

^Yes, I’m from CA and we use sketch.

Not dank though.

Ah… You Californians keep impregnating us with words… I heard “legit” come up a few times recently…

lol i forgot about scandalous, hyphy, ratchet, etc.

I hear “that’s dope” and “that’s boys” ALL the time xD

A lot of people here say:
-You already know
-yolo
-Nah, son
-YASSSS!!!
-She got the cake
-You wallin
-Hey mistah!
-Like, omg
-Like, lol
-Like, totally
-epic fail
-wowerz

…and tons more

Slang in my area is… bad words.

lol Here in Indiana people always, like, say like in the beginning or the middle of the sentence. Like everyone not just the girls lol. See I can’t stop doing. Also at my school white people can say the N-words without being criticized (and my school is mostly blacks). But almost all the slang are common for everywhere.

neva dat 10char

In Hawaii I hear some weird slang.

chantin’ (chanting) = saying something, often for a long time. Ex. - My teacher was chantin’ 'bout how my homework was late.

Probably a Hawaii thing because Hawaiian chanting and hula go hand and hand.

dicks = bad. Ex.- That teacher is so dicks, she didn’t let me turn in my late work.

Combine the slang words with the multi-language pidgin we speak and it’s like a whole different world.

Most of these are just universal American slang. Minus the Hawaii stuff and the stuff pertaining to the south like “yall” etc…although a lot of people go to southern universities and pick it up.

Swerve
Faded
Cised
Get hip
Ratched lol

These are the ones I hear a lot.

I live in the Boston area so I hear the adjective “wicked” a lot…

My friends use “legit”, “banging”, and “sick” quite frequently.

Sumobats are you from DC? lol

We’ve got…
ratchet
dead
live
siced
finna
bait
twerk
cucked
and a lot more that i can’t remember haha

oh yeah also:
get hip
salty
fishin’ (mad)

“Cray” and “cray cray” are pretty big. People love describing things as “ratchet”. And “sketch” or “sketchy”; I swear even adults use that one.
