I’ve been comparing a lot of college’s financial aid estimations recently, and Sarah Lawrence is a pretty extreme aberration. Their calculator was the only one which asked for my SAT scores, and it awarded me a 20,000 scholarship presumably based on them (making their overall cost way lower even than schools known for generous aid, like Yale).
Am I missing something here? Everyone I’ve talked to has said SLC’s merit aid is lackluster at best, and regularly giving $20,000 scholarships for test scores seems like something people would mention. Is the calculator overly optimistic? What gives?
