are u allowed to sleep over your friends dorm or is it frowned upon ??

Basically, there is no RA who will ever stop you for sleeping over at a friends dorm or having a boyfriend/girlfriend staying at your dorm. You can also have friends from other schools stay with you as long as you ask your roommate. Really it all comes down to how well you know your roommate and if they are cool with having guests over. Thats why you should get to know them and talk about these things the first week.

OHH ok ... aight well thats sounds simple enough, also I was wondering do you have ANY tips or advice for a freshman student might find helpfull?????

well, i have a lot of tips but you have to be more specific. What kind of stuff do you want to know?

OK I am interested in the DeVos Sports Business Program do you have any information? What are the BAD things about Academic Village? What teachers must i avoid at all cost? What classes should I TRY to get in? What is Church Street? Should I spend an extra $50 or $100 to move in Early, to save the hassle and chaos of the regular move in date? When do classes starts? What was the biggest surprise you encountered during your first year in college? Im just looking for information that only a current student will be able to give me, something i can't get from the website???

Thanks in Advance.

1)I have heard of the sports business thing but I know nothing about it.
2)Academic village is really nice actually. Close to the gym, pool, and marketplace if you have meal plan. Bad thing is, is that it can be a little bit of a walk to get to some buildings but it isn't bad.
3)read ratemyprofessor.com for opinions on teachers. The site is pretty accurate on what each teacher is like.
4)Get in the classes you want to be in. Don't worry too much about professors, but more about learning.
5)Church street is a bunch of clubs down town that people having their mid-life crisis go to. Avoid it at all costs.
6)Don't waste money to move in early. It is a good way to meet people and it is not that bad. Just move in on the thursday because less parents can get off work so it isnt as busy.
7)Well, you usually move in a thursday-sunday and classes start that monday.
8)my biggest suprise was that living in Libra was not that bad and I met a lot of great people there. I thought living in two person dorms would be miserable.

Thanks for the advice ill have to check out ratemyprofessor.com , another question i have is that during orientation you select your classes, so i guess is it a good idea to go ahead and check out ratemyprofessor.com before you go to orietation so you can avoid the bad professors when picking your classes or does that even come to play during orientation. Well Thank you again for the help

I would have a general idea about classes you want to take and just pick from what times will work out for your schedule. You can go back later and switch it around but make sure you are taking the right classes first.
