A weakness that a lot of people is writing. I believe it is a result of people simply not being used to good grammar.
1. Do any of you have suggestions for books or authors that have great grammar and/or get you used to great grammar
2. Any general grammar books you would recommend for a novice?
3. I've reviewed other threads so I am generally aware of how people get 800's on writing put can you please list here as well? I want to make sure I have it right
4. Would you say that heavily-inclined math students generally (without a lot of studying) worse on the writing section?

Any and All Responses Are Much Appreciated Guys!

“Barron’s SAT 2400: Aiming for the Perfect Score” is a great book for the writing section. In addition, also just google common English idioms to learn the nuances. Once you think you understand the rules, PRACTICE!!! Many of the writing questions in which you have to spot the error follow similar rules. If you can practice and figure out your weaknesses, on the actual test day, many questions will seem familiar to you. BTW: when purchasing a book full of practice tests, make sure that the answer section has a small explanation as to why a certain answer choice was better than the rest.
