Small engineering school on east coast?

I am currently in 11th grade and am interested in computer and electrical engineering. Since there are 2000 kids in my school the college counselors are always busy. I am looking for a somewhat smaller school, and preferably up north.

GPA: 3.78

Cummulative: 93

Sat: Have not recieved it but the psat predicts 1850

Work load: Taken all honors classes, and planning on taking ap calc, ap physics, and ap statistics.

Extras: varsity golf, physics team, honors society, book club, FFA advisor, pumkin chunkin world championship, science olympiad.

I greatly appreciate any comments. They are a great help.

Match: Stevens, wpi, rit, Rennselaer. Union, Clarkson.

Reach: Olin, Cooper Union, Lehigh, Lafayette

^^^And you can add Trinity (CT), Bucknell, and Manhattan College to the list

Goucher is a small liberal arts college in Baltimore with a 3/2 engineering program with Johns Hopkins: [3/2 Science & Engineering Program : Goucher College](http://www.goucher.edu/academics/biological-sciences/programs-of-study/32-science-and-engineering-program)

Polytechnic Institute of New York University is small, with only about 2,000 undergraduates. But, as its name implies, it is being absorbed by the much larger New York University, which has about 19,000 undergraduates. PINYU will become NYU’s engineering division.

Historically, PINYU has offered relatively good financial aid, in contrast to NYU’s reputation of poor financial aid. You may want to investigate this with the net price calculators.

I feel the same way. Wpi rit pinyu seem to be a good match. Im going to reach for rpi lehigh and villanova.

Make sure you take the SAT and/or ACT early enough so that you have time to retake it AND prepare for the test each time. 1850 might not be good enough for a lot of engineering schools. Note: WPI is the only test-optional engineering school if your scores aren’t really good.
ALSO, check each schools requirements as some engineering schools require you to take some math and science Subject tests.

Im planning on taking the sat a lot and building a high super score. I will be sure to look into the sat subject test requirements for each school.
