So I took AP European History as a sophomore.
On the academic section where they ask about tests. I put the date 05/2012 instead of 05/2009. Should I send an email to all my colleges explaining the mistake? My school transcript has the test score reported in it, so is it necessary? Help!

Yes, you should email the colleges. If your app doesn’t match your school transcript colleges may assume that you were intentionally academically dishonest (which is very bad). If you let them know there was a small mistake with the date they won’t be at all concerned when they notice the discrepancies. So, in short, DO IT!

It will be obvious this was a typo; no one will see it as “academically dishonest”. Send an email if it makes you feel better, but don’t stress about it.

MommaJ is right, send an email if it makes you feel better but it’s not necessary. If a college rejects you based on a concern of academic dishonesty for what is obviously a typo mistake, they were looking to reject you period. You did take the test, it shows up on your transcript, and I’m assuming you had the college board send the score.

Thank you guys for the reply!
I talked to my counselor and she said it wasn’t a big deal.
