Small School MBA?

I am in accelerated MBA program at a small Jesuit School, the University of Scranton in PA.

Am I at a disadvantage for jobs say near Philadelphia or out of state because I didn't get my MBA from a "top" school. Their program is pretty good here... but I fear because it is a smaller school I'll be at a disadvantage when it comes to jobs...

Have you decided yet? Small class is beneficial for academic study=]

What you need to be looking for is the accreditation AACSB.

It is a garantee that the program is serious and the HR will see that you received good education.

Lots of online school and private school are not accredited.
The name of the school matters only if you are in one of the top40-50 schools

Scranton’s MBA is AACSB accredited.

Mixture can also try to network through alumni. We have found them to be very helpful to fellow Scranton students/graduates and there are probably many in Philadelphia area. He/she can contact the alumni office for help.

Are you attending this school straight out of college? Do you have any full-time job experience?

In your case, your previous or lack of job experience matters more.
