Smartest and Dumbest Celebrities

Smartest:
Natalie Portman
Reese Witherspoon
The Olsens

Dumbest:
Paris Hilton
Ashlee Simpson

add matt damon to the smart list and i dont think that paris and Jessica Simpson(who i think you mean) are dumb rather i think they play dumb becuase they realize that blonde and ditzy sells.

Yes, there's a difference between acting dumb and doing dumb things. Jessica Simpson acts like a bimbo on purpose, whereas Lindsay Lohan does genuinely stupid things that get her into the tabloids.

Einsten was a celebrity. And perhaps the same can be said for Feynman.

Smartest: Jonathan Taylor Thomas (Harvard)
John Legend(University of Pennsylvania
John Lithgow (Harvard)
Dean Cain(Princeton)

smartest:
jon stewart

off the top of my head:
jodie foster is extremely intelligent. (and she went to yale)
conan o'brien (harvard)
meryl streep (yale)
lisa kudrow (vassar)

Smartest Celebrities:
J.D. Salinger
Golding
James Joyce

Dumbest Celebrities:
every single actor, entertainer, actress, performer, or person you see on TV. I don't know why you think some actors or actresses are smart just because they went to Yale or Harvard (as if the college you go to is a measurement of your intelligence). Most, if not all, of those actors had connections and money to go there.

Some celebrities get into top schools because of their fame and fortune. And getting into a top school doesn't necessarily make you intelligent. Lots of dumbasses graduate from the best schools in the world, while some geniuses come from some hole-in-the-wall.

Jose,

And why do you think "every single actor, entertainer, actress, performer, or person you see on TV" is stupid? You don't know them. You've never had a conversation with them. Their is no evidence to back up your statement. Do you think these "stupid" people just woke up one morning and were famous? Or did they work extremely hard using their talents to become a celebrity?

Lauren Graham got her BA in English at Barnard, and her MA in Acting at Southern Methodist University. She worked extremely hard.

Do older people count? Gregory Peck went to UC Berkeley, and Jimmy Stewart studied Architecture at Princeton.

they make a living off not being themselves and being someone different. you tell me

Sharon Stone and Reese Witherspoon seem like smart women celebs to me. Yes, they have high IQs, but they also carry themselves extremely well and send out positive messages.

Oh...and John Legend also seems really bright. Probably because he's, imo, a great lyricist.

jon stewart W&M alum

Laura Linney (Brown University)
Leelee Sobieski (Brown University)
Duncan Sheik (Brown University)
Langston Hughes (Columbia University)
Amanda Peet (Columbia University)
J.D. Salinger (Columbia University)
Bill Nye (Cornell University)
Christopher Reeve (Cornell University)
Jimmy Smits (Cornell University)
Laura Ingraham (Dartmouth College)

geena davis

she's a mensa member

All entertainers aren't actors. Even so, they have lives beyond their characters. Why would you call somebody stupid just because they chose to become an entertainer (where they make a whole lot more money than any "genius" CEOs, lawyers, brain surgeons, rocket scientists, or any other "smart" career)?

Whoever base their "smartest celebrity" list on what the person's alma mater was is an ignorant fool

donald trump
