do you know how many students usually receive merit awards? i know that there is the stride program, but i didn’t see much else in regards to merit

There is Zollman (less than 10 students), Stride (50 students) and Presidential (not specified). Again I would assume to something like 5% -10% of top accepted students?

great thank u!

I assume the same, 5-10% of accepted students. I wonder if they give out more than 10 and 50 figuring not everyone will accept them. I’ve seen speculation about that before.

According to the Common Data Set the number of enrolled students that receive merit is less than 60 (for the last three years) and it varies from year to year. My understanding is that 10+50+x presidential is the amount offered, not the one accepted. However, I have no special knowledge and I could be wrong.

Hi I got an early acceptance letter and these were my stats: 1290 SAT (I didn’t submit this score/technically there was just no SAT for me but did submit a letter explaining how I wasn’t able to retake the SAT because of covid and mentioned that on my practice SATs I was getting 1400s), GPA 4.35, I think at the time I applied I was ranked #12. I’m in International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and so I took IB classes only which were pretty rigorous both my junior and senior year. I also took 2 APs my sophomore (got As). Let me know if you have any other questions or want to know about my activities, etc.

Good luck everyone. I think March 26 is the date. 20 days to go!!! (not early, but many schools are going well into April this year.)

Does anyone know of any early indicators of decisions from previous years?

I thought the date would be March 20, no?
