<p>I was told that there are locations around campus that are designaed for smokers. I do not know the punishments for smoking on campus; however, I have seen many people do it even though it is not allowed. They must not reinforce that rule. </p>
<p>It’s not enforced, though it may cause some students to be hesitant to smoke on campus anyway because you don’t see it often. I only smoke occasionally but I’ve literally never had a problem doing it on campus. The only effect that the rule has had is that there are almost no ashtrays on campus which means butts are just thrown everywhere. Unfortunate and ironic.</p>
