SMU dorms

In your opinion which is the best dorm to live in on campus your freshman year?

-Would prefer not to have a common bathroom
-Don't mind a roommate
-Not too quiet not too loud atmosphere.

And as for off campus housing. I want to move off campus my sophomore year. But I don't have a car. So which communities does the SMU bus service stop by?
I want one or two roommates as well so it has to be either two or three bedrooms.

I would recommend living on campus for as long as possible - it is so convenient, easy, stress-free and central. You feel much more connected to everything that’s going on when you live right in the center of it all! Plus, nothing beats waking up ten minutes before class and still making it on time! :)

I lived on campus for three years and didn’t move off until my senior year (this year!). I have a car, but would rather take the shuttle - clean and cheaper! The Mustang Express runs right by my apartment so it’s easy to dash on and dash off. Attached is the Mustang Express website where you can look up the route. It also runs right through Mockingbird Station, a big hub for DART (our public transit), so you can take the light rail or a bus into Mockingbird Station and then catch the Mustang Express!

Check it out! It’s a great alternative to driving!
