They posted to social media, acceptances of ED. I am assuming we are a week out for Early Admissions. Like December 12-15th ish possibly.
My daughter was accepted to Meadows and is just waiting for the SMU university acceptance now. (Dual admission process for art, portfolio required) EA.
oh Early Action! SO maybe they are doing both now. Thanks for letting us know and congratulations!
Thanks! She received the Meadows Acceptance on 11/24.
My son just heard yesterday that he was admitted ED.
Assuming she was early decision then correct? Congrats and pony up.
Thanks! EA. They have to get admitted to Meadows first through a portfolio review process. Then Meadows sends the decision to SMU. Once SMU receives Meadows acceptance then they review their app for university admittance. It’s a dual admittance process. She is still waiting for the SMU acceptance. Which I expect will happen soon when they do everyone else who is EA. Meadows art majors have to have meet the academic requirements in addition to the artistic requirements and get dually admitted.
My daughter applied EA. Does anyone know when decisions will be released? Thank you, and good luck to all who have applied!
Website only says mid December.
Where did you see that? I looked on Facebook earlier today, and I did not see anything about release dates. Thank you.
I think that next week will be a big decision release week. We are expecting to hear from all of the private schools to which my daughter applied.
hi My son was told when he toured around 12/15 for EA.
I contacted Admissions office yesterday and was told EA decisions are coming out on December 20th, but that could change. Hopefully for an earlier date
That’s disappointing. We were really hoping to hear from everywhere next week!
Thank you for letting us know the date.
To those of you that were accepted ED, did any of you apply to Cox? If so, did you find out about Cox admission at the same time as your ED acceptance? If not, when will you find out about Cox? Or how does that work?
Last year, EA applicants received their university admissions decision on Dec 17 and received their Cox decision on Jan 7 (accept, defer or deny).
My friend who has a son applying EA as well just called and heard the same as you. Looks like we are waiting a little longer…
How about Lyle, do they include that in the decision itself, or is it also delayed by a couple of weeks.
Yes! Lyle is fabulous.
My understanding is that only Cox and Meadows take extra time.
