@jvjvjv 2nd Century and invite to interview for Hunt! congrats!
Are we allowed to post copied text from our admissions decision here? Or does that violate some kind of rule? I would love to see what they look like for those of you who did receive a scholarship…
@Willis1313 Same. I was expecting it too. Don’t know what happened there but I got $0.
On my second century scholar award it was announced in the third paragraph of my acceptance
Waitlisted

@andrewsuni2021 congrats boi
wait so if it wasn’t in your letter, then you don’t get a merit award scholarship?
Meadows sent an email earlier in the last week saying they would start awarding scholarships from March 15 through May 1. So if you are Meadows and didn’t get a scholarship, that may be why.
@BassTheatreMom I’m an engineering major so that shouldn’t be the case…Meadows is an arts college scholarship
@megan_janus22 Although it wasn’t mentioned in my letter, I’m going to keep my hopes up about aid. After all, I have recieved Presidential Scholarships to every other institution that I have applied to…
Plus, perhaps due to the mixup with my transcripts they just haven’t finished processing my aid package.
To everyone else who didn’t hear anything about aid, stay positive. I’ll call Monday to try and get some answers.
@Willis1313 okay thanks so much… yeah i was really hoping for that scholarship as it is already a super expensive school. so i look forward to hearing from you about what they say!
@Willis1313 stats?
Did anyone get notification about Honors/BBA Scholars/BBA Direct in their acceptance today?
@andrewsuni2021
Not used to posting my stats lol…this bit of background information is likely what helps me with the admissions committees: From the beginning of my Sophomore year and until I graduated I lived in Chile as an expatriate. My opportunities for extracurriculars were very limited due to the fact that they simply don’t seem to exist there. I missed out on NHS and student council and AP courses and all of that good stuff that most people on CC post for stats (:
Given the fact that the majority of my course work was independant study I feel that my scores here are still pretty strong.
New SAT:1390 (essay was only a 5, drug me down some)
GPA: 3.86 Unweighted
AP Classes: None, school did not offer
College Credits Through Dual Enrollment: 22
College GPA: 3.9 (High school doesnt use these courses for their GPA)
ECs/Volunteer Work/Sports: Limited…I alone initiated an SAT study program for Chilean students who hope to study in the U.S. (yes they offer the test there), Along with others I helped to initiate an English extra curricular/club at the local school there and helped teach, and i did a few local cleanup things.
Congratulations to all accepted today!
I got accepted to SMU with the Distinguished Scholar award which is $25,000 a year!! For those who are waiting on scholarships, I also got an invite this morning to be a Meadows Scholar which, according to the email, is a group of 20-25 Meadows students. I got a $5,000 scholarship with that and an “opportunity to apply” for $1,500 in funding for study abroad or personal projects!! Super exciting and good luck to everyone else!!
Does anyone have any info on the Honors invites? I wasn’t sure if they sent those with your acceptance or not.
I was rejected but I wasn’t that bothered by it. I applied because I had a fee waiver. Would’ve been nice to have another acceptance though Congrats to everyone who was accepted !
@Willis1313 Presidental scholarship is prob understandable, they only accept around 20 people and median SAT was a 1500 in the past. That said, I’m shocked you didn’t get anything in merit, I would definitely follow up with them.
@abcole I didn’t get any info about honors with my acceptance, hopefully they release that later?
@abcole Dear abcole, I see you are accepted to SMU and UT RTF congrats! My daughter is also accepted to the same two programs. We are having a hard time deciding between the two. Are you leaning towards any particular school?

Momtomine
Hi everyone! I applied to Cox and received admission into SMU. However, my letter never mentioned Cox…Does this mean I got accepted to solely SMU undergrad or Cox? Any help is appreciated!
@dorkis99 You are accepted to SMU as an undergrad. It is my understanding you will be notified a week after receiving your acceptance letter if you are a direct admit to Cox. If you do not get direct admit to Cox, you apply to get in at the end of your sophomore year.
@dorkis99 My S just received notification last night via email that he was accepted into Cox as a Business Direct. The email mentioned that a letter will follow in the mail. Hope you hear soon.
