I haven’t seen a 2020 RD thread, so I figured that I should create one since I have some questions. This can serve as a continued conversation for RD applicants and so forth.
Today (03/02/2016), I received an email that I would receive an admissions decision on Friday (03/04/2016). Has anyone else received this email notification?
Also, are applicants notified about merit scholarships in their acceptance letter, or does this come later?
My D was accepted EA, and yes the acceptance letter included information regarding merit scholarship. She also received a letter a few weeks that she was also offer merit through her major. Best of luck!
Congrats to your daughter. Which merit scholarship did she receive upon acceptance? Do you mind me asking what her test scores and GPA are? I bet they are pretty good! I have a 31 ACT and 4.0 GPA, so I have no idea if I will get anything.
In his admission letter, he received the Deans Scholarship and, I believe, notice of acceptance as a BBA Scholar (Cox). In another letter came a BBA Scholar award. And in another, a scholarship for graduating with full IB diploma – although that last one was expected, since they spell it out on the website.
Bottom line, they don’t all come at once, so it’s kinda like opening presents each time. You should know, though, that his stats were pretty high: 4.7W GPA and 35C ACT.
@TXDad56 Yeah, it’s kind of weird. There is barely any activity on Twitter about it, too. I’d be super excited to attend, but it costs so much. I’d have to receive some pretty good merit scholarships to attend. Regardless, I’m excited to see what admissions think of my application.
@xxhoopsluverxx I just joined the facebook page. I only see one post about the admissions decisions tonight, and there are over 5,000 members! Whhhaaatt? I’ll be freaking out about every decision I get! It’s weird that other students aren’t talking about it.
Anyone else get a personalized statement within your letter? Mine was: “The Committee particularly noted your ability to balance your involvement in an array of activities with your rigorous curriculum.”
I got the conditional offer of admission and i have a 3.4 and a 28 ACT and did Communications major. I am kinda down for it. Does anyone know how many other people get this?
