<p>Our streets are covered in ice and it was freezing rain all day. Many districts got an ice day. We were not one of them.</p>
<p>There is a strong possibility that we might get our first snow day tomorrow. We have had snow and freezing rain for basically the past week....dang those road crews for being so awesome here.....lol.</p>
<p>we had freezing rain all night/day yesterday, and this morning the side streets were like sheets of ice. i was going about 10 mph down my street, went to turn, and ended up spinning around in a circle. it was about the scariest moment of my life.</p>
<p>my sister's bus was told not to pick up any students who were on the side streets, because it was too dangerous. about five busses fell into ditches/spun out/crashed this morning.</p>
<p>needless to say, my school district fails at life, but we should NOT have had school today.</p>
<p>My school never gives snow days. We have had 1 snow day (last year) in the history of the people I have talked to. The thing is, we draw from a large area and have people driving 45 minutes on normal days to get to school. Last year there was a day when all the public schools in the area were closed, but we weren't, and half of our school didn't come that day.</p>
<p>I wonder what it's like to have snow days... It sounds awesome.</p>

<p>Snow Day!!!!!!! We got a lot of freezing rain and we lost power overnight for about 4 hours...the whole ice storm thing isn't as bad as they thought it would be though.</p>
<p>Puppylover, P-CCS and Livonia are ALWAYS the two districts that don't have a snowday even if the entire state is closed down. That's because we close if you guys do and you guys never do. GAH!!</p>

They postponed finals at my school due to ice! i was going to be done for the semester by WEDNSDAY!!! now i have to wait until friday to get all my finals done....
stupid ice. stupid administration. we could have gone to class today.</p>
<p><em>edit</em> i have to say, though, that it was kind of funny last night when it was raining outside and it was 25 degrees. It wasn't sleeting or snowing at all.... just a straight up rain.</p>

<p>You all in Kansas are lucky- Almost an inch of freezing rain here in Oklahoma with roughly a million power outages out of a state population of three million. It literally looks like a war zone and the ENTIRE state is in a federal state of emergency. Thank god for generators.</p>
<p>we got an inch of freezing rain in my part of MO, but because it came down as rain first and then froze, it didn't cause very many power outages (at least not around me).</p>

<p>funny story about how today, one of my teachers said that livonia doesn't call off until they find out what canton's going to do. and apparently you guys don't call off until we do. hence why we never get days off...</p>

<p>BUT, THERE IS HOPE! tonight we're supposed to get a "wintry mix" between 3 and 5 AM. meaninggggg...ICE DAY! hopefully. there'd better be...</p>
<p>Lol, we're always told that we wait for Livonia. I wish SOMEBODY would get their story straight lmao. Anyways, the storm won't be that bad and we'll have school. </p>

<p>and we'd better not have school...i'm working on a research paper right now, and it's due tomorrow, and i'm going to be up all night. and i don't want school tomorrow. argggggh.</p>

<p>For the second straight day....no school! I was really surprised because the roads look fine, but a lot of the schools don't have power. We're using all of our snow days up so early in the year! Now we only have 1 left!</p>
