Snow Day Q.

It's supposed to start snowing at about 7am tomorrow and stop at 5pm. We're supposed to get 3 to 5 inches throughout the day. Do you think schools will close even though it will be relatively okay to drive for the morning commute?

no. definitely not from my experience.

WHY!!!!

Don't they care about the afternoon?! I go to a small private school where kids drive up to 45 minutes to come to school.

I live in Michigan, btw.

we get 2 inches and No school...I love the WEST COAST!

You people are all pansies. XD

How about this: Debate tournament last Saturday in capital of VT. People driving up from all over the place. White out. Absolute white out. No cancellation, just my parents wouldn't let me go, so I missed out on soem major pwnage.

we had 10 inches and had school until the power went out (yay for power outage... and it only lasted 45 minutes :))

It depends a lot on where you live. In the wimpier states, that will easily be enough to get you a snow day (in Tennesse, for example, if they get like even a dusting people are getting into car accidents everywhere and they cancel school). It states with burly men (Minnesota), good luck on getting a snow day with anything less than seven inches - and even then if you get one you're lucky.

Ha, doesn't matter if its -40 windchill and snow, or 50 degrees inside the school. We're going to school. It seems like we only get out if it floods in the school.

Schools in my area wouldn't close if there were 13-15 inches of snow, let alone 3-5.

I LIVE IN MICH!! and i def. had a snow day today! woot woot lake effect
