<p>Hi!I would appreciate it if anyone tells me the suggested word count for those one/two questions before the extended essay...basically the "why Chicago" essay.Will 300 words be too long?

<p>if 300 words is too long then I’m screwed. The only one I’ve done so far is 700 words!</p>
<p>I don’t know, Columbia’s is 600 CHARACTERS and Yale’s is 500 characters, so I’m gonna try to use that as a reference point, although both seem awfully short.</p>
<p>There are no suggested word counts. Stop worrying.</p>
<p>Exactly. There’s no true limit on how long any of the essays needs to be- just keep your poor admissions counselor in mind when deciding to hand in that 10-page mini-novel! Keep things to the point, but don’t feel restricted by an exact word count.</p>
