I heard somewhere from the other thread that
Princeton sends acceptance letters via FedEx whereas
Rejection/Deferral letters arrive through regular mail..

I'm an international... and pretty much living in the other side
of the globe... If they mail it 13th Dec, for FedEx, it usually takes
2-3 days to arrive (or even quicker), thus I'll get my decision no
later than 15th or 16th... which means! if I'm DON'T get any letter
by 16th, I can assume that I'm not accepted...

indeed... will be a pleasant christmas package from princeton... haha... jingle bells...jingle bells... oh princeton mailed me the rejection letter beautiful, beautiful

If it's what I'm thinking about...
Applicants to Columbia realized that the school sent acceptances via Fedex and deferrals through USPS. They called Fedex to see if they had any packages addressed to them (from Columbia?). So, they could tell what their decisions were by seeing whether or not they had a parcel en route.

Or how about a "Cornell"? Lol last year there were tons of ways of finding out early, it seems.

If you didn't hear about it, last year Cornell's system was bypassed by applicants clicking on a link posted on this site, which actually brought them to their decision! No one got in trouble because they innocently clicked the link, but needless to say Cornell's system will be bulletproof this year :p
