Do they Fedex rejection letters to internationals?

I called FEDEX and I have a package from Princeton University. It weighs 1.1 lbs. I'm an international student from Malaysia and I'm not sure whether this is a rejection or an acceptance.

Help.

:'(

They came through regular mail last year. So, being conservative, congratulations!

Seriously? :O I don't dare to get my hopes up. But thanks so much for replying! I'm crushed. :'( Got rejected from Yale and Cornell, waitlisted for Harvard.

...Could it possibly be a waitlist and not acceptance?

Does anyone know from 2005 RD decisions or this year's ED decisions how the Admission Office sends acceptance letters & rejection letters to International applicants? Are acceptance letters always mailed by FedEx and rejections mailed through regular mail, or can International applicants receive their acceptance letter through regular mail? "Thanks to" the Columbia board, I called FedEx and apparently there is nothing coming from Princeton to my house...

UPS? DHL? anyone tried those?

Nixsticks, how exactly did you call fedex and ask about your own package? What information did you give them before they could tell you the status of your envelope? Im quite intrigued right now...

Hey ushnish, are you a malaysian? :) Go to fedex.com and choose the country you come from. Then call the toll-free number given and ask to speak to a customer service person. They'll give you an automated menu, I think. Give whoever is on the line your address - the one you gave Princeton - and they'll check to see if you have a package. Good luck.

Im from Singapore, close enough to Malaysia. I think 1.1 lbs is quite heavy for a package so you shouldn worry too much :).

Aw man, im not getting anything from fedex. Rejectionville, here i come.....

hugs I'm sorry. I would say there's still hope, but probably not good for any of us to get our hopes up AGAIN, is there?

Was Princeton your first choice? Harvard was mine, followed by Princeton, Stanford, Yale and then Cornell. Got rejected from the bottom two already and waitlisted for Harvard. My heart is broken.

so if u are not getting a package from fed ex that = rejection ?

only if you're an international

i live in u.S

its all good ill get rejected neway and im fully prepared.. good luck 2 yall

Can't say, but they've already sent out all the letters. :) Someone earlier on the thread said that rejections usually come by regular mail to international students. I'm not sure about waitlist letters, though :(

I'm not sure about waitlists, but my pretty confident guess is they send them by regular mail too.

Called them. No package from Princeton = Rejected. (Singaporean)
But I got a package from Columbia.. lol.. Didn't know they use Fedex too.

I called FedEx and they said that they cannot check whether there is a package on my name. They said that the tracking number is neede because they can't search for my name in the database.
How did you guys do it?
Should I just insist and ask them to try to search?

This is the email that they sent to all international students regarding their admission status.

The first paragraph of the email proves clearly that they are posting the stuff the normal way, not Fedex-ing. Sorry to burst the bubble guys....
