So, anyone figuring out their schedule for next year yet?

Hopefully..... And yes, AP human geog. is a soph class only and is taught by my current world geog. teacher. (bleh.) It'll be fine involuntarily cringes

Masterus, how can you take Honors French 4 if you haven't had French before?

Everyone sounds like they have pretty impressive schedules!!!

I'm still debating my eighth class(es). I could do an AP something, but I want to do something I'm really interested in. I'm thinking maybe Astronomy...or some sort of Neuroscience course. Or do Greek for one of the semesters.

At my school, if you're already taking a romance language, you're allowed to accelerate because the languages all came from the same roots. Learning another romance language will be easy because you already know the uses of the tenses, all you need is to memorize the tenses and vocabulary, which isn't hard. I'm going to learn most of it by myself. I'll probably move up to French 5 Honors or French 4,5 Honors by Second Semester because I'm learning by myself.

I've become a language fanatic, I'm learning Greek 1 and 2 over the summer. I think I'm going to do German soon. Maybe Japanese because I know Chinese.''

I guess Language/Helping people could be a passion, and I could use LANGUAGE to help people.

I'm doing classes not available to normal students, so everyone elses schedule is still rigorous because it's the highest for them.

AP English Literature
AP Economics
AP US Government
AP Calculus BC
AP Biology
AP Spanish
Regents Physics
Orchestra

Ahh, okay. That makes sense. I've taken French and Spanish, and Latin I is insanely easy to me. Definately spending less than 150 hours on it. Are you going to go over French stuff a lot during the summer, also?

Learning languages is just...fun. And useful.

AP Econ
AP German
AP Calc

And...4 open holes in my schedule to take w/e, except I can't take any yearlong courses (so...APs are out of the question)

It's easier if you have mastery over the language.

I'm not fluent in French or Spanish, but it still makes Latin a LOT easier...The vocab really doesn't take all that much work, and there is some grammar, but that's easy just to learn.

My senior year:
AP English IV
AP Calculus BC
AP Government/Microeconomics
AP Biology or Pre-AP Physics (depends on if conselor will let me skip physics)
Pre-AP French III
Chorale
Good Vibrations (the show choir)
Speech (might do it over the summer if I don't get into TASP)/yearbook

In Junior year, I think about signing up for these:

Fall:
126 CALCULUS AND ANALYTICAL GEOMETRY 3
101 ELEMENTARY FRENCH 1
111 COLLEGE PHYSICS 2
Winter:
224 INTERMEDIATE ANALYSIS
102 ELEMENTARY FRENCH 2
244 ENGLISH LITERATURE: 7TH-16TH CENTURY -- Canterbury tales :P
Spring:
238 DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS
202 PHYSICS FOR SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
232 RENAISSANCE AND REFORMATION

senior year:
AP physics C
AP Chem
"advanced topics in discrete mathematics" (whatever math is included in the level that comes after AP Calc BC, which we take as juniors)
AP english lit
those are my locked-in, yearlong classes.
then im considering
~2 hour block internship for one semester
~student assistant/teacher aid
~student leadership class (student council kids slacking off all hour painting school spirit signs and doing student council things lol)
and i need to fit a semester of health in there somewhere, whether it is online or in a class, as a graduation requirement

I'll be at Caltech -- yaaaaaaaaaaay!!!
So I'll probably be taking whatever they require freshmen to take.

masterus is full of shi*t b/c he's only a freshman and he hasnt even taken algebra 2,geometry,or AP CAL AB, but suddenly he's taking AP CAL BC
im sure...

It does seem fishy. But, we have to remember, by questioning Masterus, we run the risk of having an influx of frogs and locusts.

I still don't have NYU's course catalog yet. I just sent in the reply form. Too bad it won't be postmarked until tomorrow.

Im going to be a junior next year.
Do you think this is a hard schedule?
