so are we supposed to get our "Shirts" in the mail??

"we" refers to the people who have sent in their deposits =)

Nope, I believe you will have to purchase those when you get on-campus.

seriously??? for some reason i thought we get them for free =/ in that case i should’ve gotten mine last weekend when i was there…

ya, you have to buy the shirts…you can purchase them via UND.com

Depending on your dorm, you will either have to purchase them at the bookstore or they may be part of your hall tax. If so, you’ll get them during Frosh-O.

I do not know of a single dorm that gives their incoming freshman a The Shirt, hall tax or not. If I’m wrong, someone let me know.

kevdude, I also have not heard of any dorm doing that

keenan gave freshman the shirt this year. you haven’t heard because you don’t live there.

actually not even freshman. everyone.

I don’t like this year’s design

Don’t be a complainer. It’s a tough job to come up with something new each year. Next year you can be in charge.

i actually really liked the shirt this year, but regardless of what anyone thinks, they will still be wearing it come Sept. 5th.

I like that. That’s the Notre Dame spirit.

Yes, I was a Knight and they give the shirts to everyone at the beginning of the year. I’m not some pretend ND student… I actually go to school here, so if I say that some dorms give shirts away, I’m saying that b/c they did for me.

alexi…check into the history of the shirt [History of The Shirt Project](History // The Shirt // University of Notre Dame) and you may not mind paying for it.

Thank you for letting me know, you unilaterally defensive Knights. No thanks for the attitude.

I do not know of a single dorm that gives their incoming freshman a The Shirt, hall tax or not, besides Keenan. If I’m wrong, someone let me know.

If I’m right, 90 percent of the campus will still have to buy their The Shirt.

jonoam, i dont really mind paying for the shirt, but to be honest i was expecting some kind of freebie from notre dame (it seems like most of my friends are getting some free things from their schools). but its cool though, getting an acceptance is more than enough! thanks for the link btw ill def. check that out

don’t worry, there’s plenty of perks while you’re here. just remember, it’s not “free”-- you/your parents paid for it so you’re completely entitled and should definitely take advantage. hope you enjoy ND!!

absolutely, a common answer among my friends to “Was it free?”(pertaining to t shirts, food, etc.) is “No, it actually cost 50k”
