Ok, so I already sent my SAT scores in (all four SAT Is and the one SAT II that I took already).

Yep, 4 times. Should have canceled my third attempt (didn't sleep well night before and was sick that week) but thought I would raise my superscore with my CR section going up after taking the test (I knew I bombed math). Oh I raised it all right...by 10 measly points.

So my fourth time, I got a pretty good score, 1390/2110. Not spectacular but I'm content with it and that score alone won't keep me out of GU.

But will GU even look at it? My first three tries were in the 1270-1320 range. Respectable, but nowhere near where it would need to be for GU.

I know what they will probably think, rich suburban kid hired a tutor and improved from his 3rd attempt to 4th... My tutor was CC, Grubers, Direct Hits, and the Bluebook. For a week straight I busted my a$$, probably over studied and crammed my brain and it would have been better to space it out, but I had finals to deal with too.

Whatever. Here is what Sparked my concerns:

"Notice to prospective applicants applying for admission in 2010 and beyond:

Georgetown University does not participate in the Score Choice option available through the College Board or the similar program through Educational Testing Service (ETS). Georgetown requires that you submit scores from all test sittings of the SAT, ACT or SAT Subject Tests. Georgetown evaluates thousands of competitive applicants each year for admission; access to your full testing profile enables the admissions committee to fully and fairly assess your individual strengths in comparison to the entire applicant pool.

We recommend testing for the SAT or ACT in the spring of junior year and fall of the senior year. ** We do not find that taking these tests more than two times or using a test preparation company to be useful in increasing the likelihood of admission. **

Georgetown maintains a holistic review process with a focus on success in your high school curriculum as the foundation of a competitive application. Standardized testing is a legitimate measurement of aptitude and will continue to be part of the Georgetown admissions process. Please plan on taking either the SAT or ACT and also three SAT subject tests for submission with your application."

b **

So does that mean they only look at your first two tests? Ha should have listened to CC earlier and studied for the first one I took...

Well, I guess I'm lucky in the sense that only two of my schools don't allow score choice (GU and Cornell). I don't really care about Cornell, but Georgetown is probably my top choice...

Rest of my app will be decent, essays should be good, grades ok for GU, not great, decent ECs, etc... So I was on the bubble anyway, but my four SATs don't help my case either.

aight thanks guys
