Hi I am so incredibly confused. I'm applying to Washington University in St. Louis, University of chicago, USC, Claremont Mckenna and five UCs. I know this is way too many colleges but I have no idea how to cut it down. The UC's are already sent but the deadline for all the private schools are approaching. I would like to visit USC and Claremont but my parents are too busy! Can anyone give me some advice on my dilemma?

how is that too many. thats essentially only 5 colleges since the UCs have a single app.

just get working already.

If the money isn't a major issue, just apply. Seriously considering that many will be a problem, but just apply now. You'll have the time to visit them all, and if you don't get accepted everywhere it'll be a few less right off the back. The real decision doesn't HAVE to be made now, and better to have a few extra than miss out on your potential dream school

Uhh I am applying to 20 schools; still have 3 to 4 apps left and I'm working on them as we speak. So uhhh 5 isn't that much. Just remember...one app a day keeps community college away!

Thanks!! I'll take your guys' advice! Oh I was wondering if any of you are applying to claremont mckenna. if so did you list the other colleges you're applying for on the supplement?

thats a tricky part of apps. they want to gauge what levels of schools you are applying to see if they are just going to end up being a safety school, in which case they would not want you.

if you arent required to put anything, i would leave it blank (never applied there). otherwise, just put a few schools in the same league as claremont.

^ Thanks!!
