I turned in the Claremont Mckenna application earlier today. I checked back on the supplement just now, and I realized I completely forgot to fill in the part where it asks for the other colleges I applied to. I just thought it was another "Did you visit?" question. Is this really important? It doesn't seem like it, but I'm still freaking out. ):

If it didn’t have the yellow dot and you were able to submit, then it’s fine.

Colleges can’t require you to tell them where else you’ve applied.

Since Common App allowed you to submit already, then that means it wasn’t required.

It was probably an optional section just to get some statistics about their applicants.

No worries (:

This is marketing research for the schools - they like to know who they are competing with. Some might use the information to see if they are likely to be your safety school rather than a top choice but I’ve not actually heard that confirmed by any admissions people. (I would, if I were them.) You can leave it blank. Don’t worry about it. They aren’t going to deny admission to someone they want because they didn’t provide this information.

I know someone who relied to that questions with something like “I’m applying to other strong Liberal Arts Colleges with Chinese language programs including…” and they worded it so that their answer was cut off at “including”
