before December 15th or will they make us wait?

I’m wondering the same thing for my daughter. She has already received acceptances to Oglethorpe and Brenau (both in GA), but she really wants Agnes Scott and quite frankly, so do I (for her). I’m thinking they will wait until Dec. 15 or close to it.

Good luck to your daughter, Pearl. Either way, I guess it’s only 3 weeks left. Agnes Scott is near the top of my D’s list as well and she is anxious.

I’m not even sure if they will give a decision on my daughter by Dec. 15th. She applied EA, but they want to see her joint enrollment transcript from the college and since this is the first semester she has done JE, the transcript won’t be available until after Dec. 16th…but I think even with waiting I would be very surprised if they did not admit her.

Where else did your daughter apply?

I hope they are not going to wait for mid-year grades from D’s high school because they don’t come out 'till the end of January. D is mostly applying to schools in the Northeast. Agnes Scott is the only one in Georgia, but she really liked it there when she visited. She is applying to several other women’s colleges in the Northeast, but they are a little more “reachy” than Agnes Scott.

it’s Dec 15th and I haven’t received anything for ASC yet. I’m nervous :-(

I didn’t get an e-mail or anything. Does anybody know how we are to be notified?

My daughter hasn’t received anything either. She just sent in her offical joint enrollment college transcipt for fall semester, however. They might have wanted that before making a decision…who knows.

Nothing yet here either. I really should go check the mail…

D is in!!!

I am too! Got the letter in the mail :D

Congrats, AnagramPanda. Is Agnes Scott one of your top choices?

I’m not really sure yet. I need to visit.

My d is waiting until mid January. As expected, they had to wait on reveiwing her application until the joint enrollment grades came in for fall semester.

mid-January is not so far away!

Dd received her acceptance letter yesterday. ASC is her first choice. She’s ecstatic! BTW we live in Illinois. Good luck to all.

Congrats, RPDad’s D! I assume since it’s her first choice, she definitely going.

Thanks. 99% probability she will attend ASC, but she’s keeping her options open. She remembers her brother 3 years ago had a #1 choice but was blown away when he visited Bowdoin where he is now a very happy junior.

Yes, my D really liked Agnes Scott when she visited, but refuses to decide anything before the April acceptances (or G-d forbid denials) come in. She is concerned about finances, so money will also play a role.

I haven’t visited Agnes Scott, but like what I’ve heard about it. Finances are also an issue for me, and since we have until March 1st to hear back about them (I believe- the website gives that date for “financial aid notification”), I can’t commit either way yet.
