Christmas Eve: I finally hear from them. Accepted!

with the acceptance letters, is there any mention of scholarship information? I know there is usually a scholarship weekend…any mention of that?

I didn’t receive any scholarship info in my acceptance letter. As I posted above, I believe that it comes with other financial aid notification, which remains a ways away.

No scholarship notification here, but D did receive a reminder to fill out the Fafsa. My H and I are planning to do the Profile and Fafsa this week. I know Agnes Scot doesn’t require profile but some of D’s other choices do.

Congrats MissPickwickian on your acceptance!

I’d like to fill out the FAFSA, but we still don’t have most of our tax info to do so. Is it better to wait until taxes are done, or estimate? Anyone know?

Pearl, I don’t know what’s better, but I just finished filling out the Fafsa. I did have my accountant make a “mock up” 2009 return which made things easier, but there are some numbers I just had to provide a really rough estimate.

Pearl,
Fill out and submit your FAFSA asap. Just use an estimate and you can revise it later. You might miss out on some financial aid if you wait for your income tax returns.

I’m so impatient regarding scholarship notification… most of the other schools on my short list sent me something about scholarships, but I have no idea where I stand at Agnes Scott, and in my case scholarships make a major difference. March 1st, so close and yet so far…

Does anyone have plans to go on the overnight in April?

I didn’t know there was an overnight in April. I’ll have to go look into that- I want to visit campus, and April probably works.

Take a look in your acceptance package. That’s where the notice of an overnight was for D. I don’t recall the exact dates and D has the actual slip of paper, but I believe that it was around April 8th, so right after Passover (if it matters to anyone).

Daughter received her acceptance and is very excited.

Congratulations, Pearl.

Yay I just got accepted :D
