So does basically everyone get a UC Irvine Grant?

I've looked through the forum and it seems like those who got accepted to Irvine received a UC Irvine Grant. Anywhere between 3-12k I've seen. Does this mean that UC Irvine gives everyone some sort of grant? For a moment there I thought I was special haha.

I got my financial aid information today. It says my UCI Grant is about 15k. The cal grant doesn’t seem to be in there, but I’m guessing that’s another 12k?

Edit: Yeah, nevermind it’s just 15k including cal grant. I also qualify for blue and gold.

You’re not going to get 28K in grants. From the sounds of it, it sounds like whatever the UCI grant is, it’s including either the Cal Grant or Pell Grant. Just from the sound of it, it sounds like the UCI grant = school grant + Cal grant.

Yup. There is a limit on how much you can receive so if you get Cal grant, you won’t get UCI grant, or at least only a small amount.

How do I know if I got a Cal grant? It simply just says UCI Grant.

Does UCLA have this as well in terms of the grant? I’m just really confused because my expected parental contribution is like 15k.

I logged onto the Cal grant website and it said my Cal grant renewal is still pending and won’t be available for viewing until June. So I’m not sure the Cal grant has already been included in the UCI grant. Any answers?

I got accepted to UCI and I didn’t receive any grants… ):

I didn’t get any grants either. :(
