So, fellow sophomores

how has summer been treating you so far?

I think I'll complain here.I just finished junior year high school and this summer already burried itself, its sucking ballllllllllllllllllls, everything is turning out retarded for my credentials.

You will enter the wonderful world of collegiate academia soon enough. Just relax. This thread was meant for sophomores at NYU, btw.

haha. im sitting through 3.5hour calc classes because nyu won't take ap credit -_-, terribly boring, at least the teacher "understands if i disappear" once in a while

Sounds exciting. I'm taking tremendous amounts of time to sleep every day, as this is the last summer before I have to put on the Sternie hat and start pounding the pavement (connections) for internships.

for the first month i did nothing cept sleep till 3 which was nice but now I'm working 40 hrs a week and counting down till school...well actually till july 21st then ill start with school ;)

working, sleeping, working....waiting for freakin financial aid to come...and working a little more

morningstar: you haven't gotten your FA yet? I got mine last week online and the next day (well this last Saturday) in the mail. Check out the website, maybe it's up already.

jbursty, what dorm did you get? Just curious. :p

is there a way to check what dorm you got online at nyu home? i know theres a form that shows if they received your deposit...

Yea. If you go to the housing tab on nyu home, there should be a link to your dorm and your future roommates (if any).

Firewalker: Summer's slow. Missing the city. Yourself?

hm, i don't have a "housing" tab, i guess my housing isn't done yet...the closest i get to anything about housing is in the nyu life tab. =( kinda anxious to know where i'll be staying

Under NYU Life, can you find a section called Housing Forms? Normally, if your information's been updated you can find what dorm and who your roommates are in Fall 2007 Housing Status. If you don't, then you'll have the information mailed to you later this summer.

Most of the people who responded are prefroshes, I believe. Anyways...

goyoungha, I pretty much feel the same way. Being at home blows. :/

Firewalker: I'm in cliff ...how bout you?

I have no idea, to be totally honest with you. I originally applied for Alumni, then my parents went ballistic and made me change to either 13th or 2nd. :(

not a sophomore, but after freshman year, it looks like the dorm prices get a little steep. What are you all going to do?

Dorm prices are outrageous - NYU is really not for those who struggle financially.

Amen to that. But then again, you should've known that coming in...:p

how about off-campus living? Cheaper than dorms w/ a roomate?
