So, how are everyone's nerves?

Yes! OMG singsong-y French teachers abound here, too!
And those that assign color-by-the-numbers sheets for homework...sigh...

LOL.
i go to a school that's entirely french.. in canada. in other words, we're taking the word "bilingual" to a whole new level..

PS: my teacher gives out those color-by-number things too! um.. okay, thank you. might i remind you we're not in preschool anymore? DDDD:

eww...i hate that. "now class, let's COLOR!!"

well, our french teacher had a crazy class last year, so i don't blame her. she would give us stars for good behavior, and when we had 10 stars, we got cookies!

but that only happened twice in 180 school days.

yummmmmmm cookies!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i live in canada too! my brother is about to start a french immersion school, but I just take french class, so I am not bilingual.

LOL FRENCH IMMERSION. I CAN BARELY WRITE A DECENT ESSAY NOW.

of course, i'm continuing it. unfortunately.
well, at least i can speak french. :S

ahah, it's a great excuse to blame things on, though. like that terrible reading comprehension score on the SSATs.. <_<

It was average, Kelly... average! Heaven forbid you should be ''average'' amongst intelligent private school folk.

I mean, hey... your others were LATE 80'S!!!! :D:D:D:D

wow just told my mom that. mom'll probably just make him do reading comp. stuff at home. she is like awesome with english! she's writing a book.

ack Vancouver sounds WAY better than...Sherwood Park...blehck

Just moved here from NOLA, so it especially sucks

verbal was 83. that was not late 80. that was.. GOD FORBID, EARLY 80S! SCREAM!

jk! haha, but average isn't good enough here. and that's a fact. it's so sad.. D':
i might have mis-bubbled somewhere. i thought i did pretty well on that section, but it's hard to tell.. eh. i'll go beg exeter for a fee waiver next year and re-take! i'll see how that turns out :)

sherwood park.. just googled that! it's in Alberta, right? that seems so exotic, LOL! sherwood park is surely better than vancouver. it's closer to edmonton..

THE CLOSER TO WEST EDMONTON MALL YOU ARE, THE BETTER. ;DDDDD
(i'll cut down on sugar intake, mmk? yeah, i know. 838 mL slurpees aren't good for me, blah)

Yep, we just had this whole "activity" packet - crosswords, design-a-logo thingies, and coloring, yes, lots of coloring - for a QUIZ GRADE.
One of the reasons I'm getting out of public school.

my overall was 98, and i think i got almost perfect verbal!
it was the same on the ACT (well not quite). i got like an 18 in math, and not much better in science, but my reading comprehension score was 30

WEM isn't THAT great (though I did my xmas shopping there)

and Sherwood park sucks. my school is full of petty materialistic suburbites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! especially after NOLA for 10 years of my life.

mmmmmmmmmm slurpees...............................

toronto for me. gotta love the big city. and eaton's center.

i can't stand public school work either.

@divealive: 83 on verbal is pretty good. don't worry about it. i don't think ssats carry too much weight. probably just narrows the field from 75ish up

i got 99 verbal. and 99 overall. i think. i failed reading. that score was just sad......lol, jk, only average, but average is never enough :D

WAH MUFFINQUEEN.

How can you fail reading if you got a 99?
<_>

I ended up with 99 Math, 99 Verbal, and 85 Reading. Ugh! Some of the questions were so ambiguous it was hard to tell what answer they wanted!!!

yeah with the analogies? I only missed like 2 of those though.

TOTALLY feel you when it comes to the reading. Oh well, the score is still great, so it doesn't matter.

uh....random bubbling? no, not really. i have weird logic, and the passages were kinda weird. i think i just guessed too much. or my brain is too slow to comprehend.

i agree with grammarfairy, the q's were ambiguous
