Yeah.. i thought that UF admissions decisions would be posted sometime late in the evening. Oh well, I know i’m not going to school that day, but a couple classmates of mine are planning to something relatively ambitious on the 15th.

It says it on the UF undergrad admissions webpage. It isn’t exact, but it says “the evening of February 15th.” It was posted at 5:15 last year, so that’s what we’re speculating.

The more I try not to think about Feb 15, the harder the wait gets.
I think I am going to go to school, attempt to keep it off my mind while at the same time freaking out horribly, and most likely wait at my computer with the refresh button. Sad, but most likely true.
UF is the first big hill in my college admission track. It’s pretty nerve racking, but if I get into UF, I will be happy even if I get rejected everywhere else.

You might try the so-far successful “back-door” methods of learning the decision.

On the FSU site, at least, you MAY be able to find out your admission status if you can successfully apply for housing and so on before the actual admission web site allows status checking. UF’s system may be similar.

Good luck to all.

That’d be nice, parent2noles. Swishte-my friend visited UF and asked someone in the admissions office what time the decisions would be up, and they said 5:15.

Yeah, dvm, that would definitely suck if some people at the party didn’t get in. ![]()
That’s why I think I’ll spend hours hitting the refresh button only with my bf, who should definitely get in (1460 SAT, 4.6 UF GPA).

Solo and ensemble for band is that Friday and Saturday (coincidentally, at FSU) so I hope I have my solo on Friday…at 5:15, so that by the time I finish, wait for S&E results, and drive home, the website should have recovered from all the people trying to log in and I can see my decisions. :-)

oh yeah i forgot about solo n ensemble.. I hope i dnt have it friday night cause if i dnt get into uf i’ll be too sad to play welll!

I have no clue what I’m going to do. I’m already about to lose it. sigh I’m OOS, and I really want to get out of my state. I’ve wanted to go to UF since my sophmore year. If this doesn’t work… I guess there’s always…FSU (lol), but… I’ll try to get through at the 5:15 wave. If that doesn’t work, I’m going to get my iPod out and go for a jog to level out the adrenaline rush. =/

And I agree about the party situation. I can see it now… All my friends would be all excited, jumping up and down knowing they got in, and then me, in a corner, trying to put on a happy face…
Blah. I’m jogging.

Both websites, UF and CC, are going to crash at 5:15. I can feel it. LOL.

Haha. In a feeble attempt to find an admission decision, I tried to search for “backdoors” parent2noles talked about. Using my.ufl.edu was unsuccessful. It worked with my UCF decision. (safety, but wanted to find out.) Then I tried clicking the link where it says you can pay your tuition deposit.

http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/ugrad/frtuition.html

I typed in my username and password and it came back telling me “You do not appear to be eligible to continue your enrollment confirmation. Only admitted students can access the deposit system and this requires a GatorLink account.”

Maybe some of you can try and see if you actually get through. It’s highly unlikely, but it’s a thought!

i got the same message you did DVM. can someone else PLEASE try as well lol.

ok another friend of mine, asian, and with much better stats also checked and it also said the same thing so i guessit means nothing

Same…we should keep checking though. They might open the portal closer to decision time

dvm did u check if there is anything for UIUC?

For UIUC, you can try checking this:

http://iaccept.uiuc.edu/acceptAdmit/

You will need your UIN though. I think it was included in the application confirmation e-mail. I don’t have it because my laptop is being repaired, but the letter is on the hard drive, so I’ll try tomorrow. If you still have the email, you can check!

There are other things on the website that can also be used, such as getting a NetID, but they all require the UIN, which I don’t have right now! UGH!

ok i tried the first link, it gave me : Error blah blah blah, so i guess that doesnt work, but try it anyways. and for the netID thing.. it said i’m not eligible. let me know what it says for you, thanks.

I tried the tuition link for UF as well. No luck. Same message. I’ll keep trying though. :P

seeing as someone mentioned their term got changed, then who knows maybe theportal for housing also opened. so go check! lol mine still says same thing.

Yeah, still same message.

I just went to housing and got something different…I think! Here is a screenshot from after I logged in:

http://img.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/albums/v320/dvm258/UFHousing.jpg

I don’t think this is the nonrefundable fee I paid after I applied. That’d be bad if that appeared again. Because it’s an “application fee” and not a “save your spot fee” I think it is different. EVERYONE TRY LOGGING IN…NOWNOWNOW!!!@!@ LOL.

Am I the only one getting this far?

Oh, the tuition page doesn’t work for me still.

yo we need another way

It is the same fee and application page that we filled out before
