So, how do you think my interview went?

Last Saturday, I got a call from a Cornell alumni in my area for an informal interview. I wasn't expecting it (applying to CALS) and it caught me off guard. I tried my best to kind of just go with it even though I had little to no experience in interviewing at all. At one point in the interview, he asked if I had any questions for him, and in my half-panicked mind I thought he meant questions about the application process or something like that, so I said I had none since I obviously already sent in my application. He sounded really disappointed and asked, "You really have no questions at all for me?" And I continued to say no like an idiot. It wasn't until afterward that I realized my mistake and should've asked some questions about his life at Cornell, Cornell atmosphere and culture, quirks about the campus etc. I must've sounded super uninterested in Cornell, and now it's really stressing me out. The thing is I have a tendency to blow things out of proportion as well so I need a second opinion. What do you guys think?

I’m sure it won’t affect your admission decision at all. Alumni interviews are for your benefit so you can learn more about the university, and while it’s a shame you didn’t take advantage of this opportunity to ask him questions, it won’t have any impact later on.

Also, Cornell is not going to think you’re uninterested, you applied ED :P

I completely agree with @jamesjunkers. You applied ED…Cornell adcom knows that you are extremely interested. ;)
