I just got mine back today. It's not great but Id say its above average

Composite 22 89% (I think I could have done better)
English 21 89 % (About what I expected)
Math 20 77% (That one scares me)
Reading 21 83% (That one kinda scares me as well)
Science 26 96% (That one shocked me)

My projection is 24-28 though I think I could crack the 30's with enough studying. I'm about to get the red book and start studying for the June test.

That’s a decent score. With a little prep, you could easily break 30. With about the same plan score as you, I got a 30 on my 1st try. I’m still waiting for the results of my second test, which I think went a little better. I would wait until the first test in the fall, though, that way you have all summer to get ready. Just my two cents; do what you please In the grand scheme of things, the Plan test itself really doesn’t matter, but it tells you what you need to work on for the ACT. On the plan, my lowest score was English. I worked on that section extensively and got a hard-earned 34. It just takes practice.

The PLAN (and ACT Explore) score just give you a rough idea how you stand among your peers. The projected ACT score range is definitely not your limit. My D also got her first ACT score beyond the range with a thorough practice over the Summer. Nevertheless, the projected range is also based on previous statistics that most students with that PLAN score will achieve in the ACT test afterward. So you do need to work harder than average student to go beyond that range.
