So how is a first-year supposed to figure out cavlink?

I'd like to get a work study position in the first semester but I don't know if I've even started belatedly. In general, what is the range of work study wages for first-years (that is, "unproven" at the college level haha)?

It seems very powerful ... if you're a fourth year, with a string of real achievements and distinctions under your belt. In fact, other than the lists of activities and achievements sent to scholarship boards (and that oh-so-exciting process of admissions), is a first year expected to have a resume to upload to cavlink, get a work study position?

Cavlink just intimidates me. Qualifications: I don't really have any. I mean, an admissions or a scholarship resume is quite different from a work-study (or heck, an actual job/internship) resume, right?
