Everything will be fine except for APUSH. There is nothing fine about APUSH.

Is APUSH really that difficult? My school do not have APs but I did have a American History class for my sophomore year and I enjoyed it so much ended up scoring extremely high on my regents. US history just takes a bit a studying then you will get it :).

Not that content is harder but at my school atleast you have up to 10 pages of notes a night with CP has none and Honors has like 4. Also you have to write essay which are graded extremely hard. Its not that your much smarter, its just you have to put ALOT more time in AP classes.

My school starts September 7th. Honestly? I am impatient. I am sooooo tired of doing nothing and letting my brain slowly turn into a pile of non-responding mush that I would be glad at ANYTHING that would even remotely stimulate my cognitive receptors.

@YaleGirll That’s basically how I feel every summer haha.

It’s very early… I imagine when I get to school ill wonder why I ever mildly wanted to go. :P

Starting 6th for me as well, can’t wait!

What Studious said. Everything’s great…

except APUSH. Oh god, APUSH…

@Josiah No, APUSH isn’t that hard, but you’re right, it requires a lot of studying and there is a lot of work, which is tough to handle when taking 3 other APs. Plus my teacher can’t teach to save her life but I’m sure you’ve all heard me ranting about that in another thread.

That’s sucks you have a teacher that can’t teach to save her life. But I suggest to get a Cliffnotes APUSH book. I never used this book before but I did use a Cliffnotes Bio book because am not partially fond with Bio. It did help tho :). But get a Cliffnotes and read ALL the pages. Being that you have 3 APs do some APUSH studying on a day where you not busy. But this is just a suggestion :)

School starts on September 4th, and I just got my schedule yesterday!!

Freshmen started today, and I’m a part of Link Crew, so I had to be there for most of the day. It was fun; a lot of the kids in my group were quiet or “outcasts”, so they weren’t annoying, loud, or obnoxious like a lot of the other kids.

Today was great. A whole bag of laughs until I had to fight my way out of the parking lot. I can’t sputter enough words that equal the amount of rage and annoyance I felt in those aching 25-30 minutes. Fnwjqijdjsjqjhedjeu!!!
The people at my school are so effing difficult!! Ahdbdkwjvshw

I wasnt gonna go into depth but I like what another person said on here:

1st: honors world. The teacher was an old guy, the kind who still has a VCR tape collection, still has an overhead, makes lots of references to back in ‘his day’ and to our new day (he was telling us a house used to be called a pad, which could be compared to us saying crib…) . I’m switching out of the class but if I were taking it I think I’d find the material and class in general pretty interesting.

2nd: AP physics B: my teacher is so adorable! He giggles at his own little jokes and always has the biggest smile on like he’s just happy to be alive … I think ill do pretty well in this class .

3rd: Scientific Visual something or another: I probably would really enjoy this class but there’s a ton of random kids in it who dont care and I have to switch into student council during this block. I really like the teacher though… But I’m kind of embarrassed in my interest of computers (sort of a prep here)… But I might secretly join her robotics team

4th: AP Calc AB: teacher is very young and nice… Not sure about her teaching yet (it’s her first year doing AP Calc I think) … But we’ll see.
Also have AP Psych : teacher seems to really like me (he had my sister last year and says he really liked her) and I made a good first impression on the first day (I was the only one to get this tricky problem right and I’ve heard he really likes smart people :)

1st: Argh…athletics
2nd: orchestra…argh, didn’t practice over the summer
3rd: Physics, you say? I accept your challenge
4th: Pre-AP Pre calc incredibly easy

First day of school happened.
I have a 300 yard swim tomorrow for life guarding
2 essays due
A math review
And a test.
Can I say yip—EECK

Day six of school, more blocking today. Today, I had periods 2, 3, 5, and 6 for 80 minutes.

2 - Honors U.S. History - We did an easy assignment on Native Americans in Colonial America, and once I finished 20 minutes early, I caught up with a friend I hadn’t talked to in awhile. He’s a soccer player, and he got to train with the Seattle Sounders of the MLS, which is really cool.

3 - French III - Review of passe-compose was really easy and boring. I also found out that my French II teacher taught us a bunch of stuff wrong as well. She taught us se coucher as “to couch yourself”. I don’t even know anymore…

Lunch - Normal lunch period. Nothing special.

5 - AP Bio - We continued our plant lab, and after that, we did a review on pH. Pretty easy day today. I have my Chapter 3 test Friday.

6 - Pre-Calculus - I’m not even going to talk about how it took me 20 minutes to solve a really long linear equation. Please don’t even ask…

After school, I had my first debate practice. It was pretty cool and a lot of fun. I’m really looking forward to debate season.

No school until September 4th by state law here in Michigan!
But I will be at school all day tomorrow for sophomore orientation as part of Link Crew. I’m interested to see how that goes considering a couple of the students in my group appear to be pretty… err… rough.

No school till the 4th…I’m just anxiously waiting hoping that they fixed the two wrong classes they put me in on my schedule.

Today:

Honors English: Our class got 100% in a fundraising drive (yay!), so our teacher said he would bring in awesome desserts for next week!!! We wrote the first page of a sequel to our summer reading.

Honors Western Civ: Our teacher lectured the whole period but didn’t terrorize us like he has been doing.

Honors Chemistry: Continued working on our lab. We BOILED WATER, YAY!!! /sarcasm

Band: the usual

Honors Precalc: Lecture as usual. But our teacher gave us SOOOOO much homework today. I was working on it for an hour after school with only a little distraction and STILL was only about 3/4 of the way done. I swear, I wanted to murder math right then and there, even though I’m a total math nerd.

Spanish: boring as usual, but at least I wasn’t on the verge of falling asleep in it like I’ve been doing for the past few days.

Well since my school is ■■■■■■■■, they refuse to give schedules till the first day. The only thing they finalize is the classes you’re enrolled in, and that list came in the mail today. Luckily, I didn’t have the problems many of you CC’ers have of not getting classes you want; I got mostly everything I wanted except AP Psych, but I’m not too sad about that.

I have this year (I’m a senior):

AP Physics C
AP Calculus AB (no BC in our school, grrrr)
AP Lit
AP American Gov’t and Politics
AP Computer Science
Gym

Pretty good schedule I’d say :D

I’m just getting really anxious for the 4th. Summer is getting kind of boring. I mean, I made sure I read and didn’t let all my brain cells die, but I mean…enough is enough.
