So... How's Chanukah Going So Far?

I am jewish. I didn't get anything for Chanukah. This sucks.

We've lit candles. No presents, aside from money. We're kind of boring (read: very) when it comes to holidays in general.

I'm Jewish!
Yes, I am having latkes for dinner tonight (with applesauce).
My mom surprised me with a tiffany bracelet, but I'm not so into that and she realized so I'm exchanging it for something else... not so sure what yet. Then she gave me a huge box of godiva chocolate and that made me very happy :-).

@fromthesouth - umm most jews are white so you make no sense.

i cheated and opened all of my presents on the first night =]

i got a new juicy bag, new uggs i've been begging for for months, some DVDs, juicy perfume, a cute necklace, and tons of clothes.

ya same guys most jewish here lol but now channaka is so broing, we just like fight and its like k get this stupid thing over with we gotta study, used to be so much more fun ... but just came back from rabbis chagiga... wow feel like such a loser being on here lol

monoclide: I'm in New York. One out of every 4 people are Jewish. Haha.
yes...manhattan mostly
haha and 2 out of 5 are gay

I believe LA has more jews than new york, no?
well anyways i dont celebrate hannukah but i went to some shabat thing last friday at the israeli embassy with one of my friends.
im gay lebanese and muslim

from the south, youre making me concerned, you know that judaism is a religion, right? christianity started as a branch of judaism, etc, jesus was a pretty well known jew

Princekarim, wikipedia says you're wrong.

"The New York metropolitan area is home to the largest Jewish community outside Israel; Tel Aviv proper (non-metro/within municipal limits) has a smaller population than the Jewish population of New York City proper, making New York the largest Jewish community in the world."

"The region (Los Angeles) has the third largest population of Jews in the United States."

whats 2nd?

I believe either Miami, Pennsylvania, or Chicago.

...This is also ALL based on wikipedia, so take it with a minor grain of salt.

oh whoops.......3rd. i was still pretty close haha
has anyone read the article in the latimes about jewish hollywood?

Nope, but I've heard of it.
