<p>Do counselors usually write like another recommendation for them? For the commonapp. mid-year report, it seems like the counselor is supposed to write a whole other recommendation. Can anyone clear this up for me? </p>

<p>the mid year report is for your 7th semester grades (1st semester of senior year) which usually don't become available until after you apply (after January 1); your counselor will fill that out for your colleges and send those after your semester grades have been determined (in the first week or two of January, usually [at least that's how it is at my school])</p>
