So I am pretty sure I just failed my first physics test of the year. blah

UGH. I feel so stupid....I guess I am so caught up with senior year and college apps and everything else, it's hard to keep up with school already! We just had a physics test today and I KNOW i didn't do well on it, and it really was not that difficult of a quiz but I screwed up. It's not like I didn't know the material, I just did a buncha stupid stuff and I know I did bad. My teacher probably think I am stupid or something ahh.

Worst part is, mid quarter grades go out next week and this is the only major thing so far so now my parents are going to be like whattttt is going on since i usually start off strong.

ughhh. hate school.

There there… pat pat

Did other people do well? Because in my physics class people pretty much failed almost every test because of the difficulty.

ehh well i know for a fact that the difficulty of this one wasn’t too bad…but i am just personally aware i didn’t do well. We just took it today. I hate knowing that I didn’t do well…now I am like dreading tomorrow cuz we will probably get it back lol.

ohh man, i forgot the joys of school =/

I “failed” my most recent physics test, but it was curved up 9 points. Maybe your teacher will curve too?

Nicee that’s lucky. Curving is against school policy here lol. soooo lame.

Ironically, banning curving more often leads to dumbing tests down rather than forcing students to rise to the challenge.

ouch against the curves.

Still physics isn’t something you necessarily work hard in. Being a robot can let you succeed in high school algebra II, pre-cal, and even calculus. It can definitely help in something like AP Bio.

Unfortuntaely, physics often requires a real ability to understand concepts, and apply the equations you memorize. Every physics problem can be different, and if one cannot understand the concepts, that neat equation isn’t going to help very much.

If it makes you feel better on our first physics test of the year there were only 2 As and everyone else got a C or lower. And in AP Chem the class average was 62%, lol so don’t worry.

lol yeahh. im just worried because my class is small and full of a buncha smart people so it’s likely that most ppl did well…and like most CC’ers im used to being “up there” too but science has never been my thing so i hate to be an outlier lol

The first physics test made 6 out of the 8 people who dropped out of my AP physics class drop the class.

And it was curved too…

^ What idiots.

I just got a 48 on my English essay, so we’re in the same boat. ;O I’ll be lucky to get a B this marking period…gahhhhhhhhhituiqtquqerhazdmxg

ahhh yeahh it sucks! im so scared to get mine back now! do u have wieghted grades? fortunately this class isnt’ weighted

Weighted? Well it’s AP Eng Lit and def counts toward my GPA. :[ I’m hoping it doesn’t completely screw my senior grades over. The teacher is… intense.

noo i mean like is ur grade based on points or a weighted scale? cuz like sometimes tests can be worth more than other hw assignments…but luckily everything is equal in my class so hopefully it works out

I got a 45 on my first AP Chem test. 46 on the second.

I then dropped.

But physics is easyyy. I took that sophomore year.

Look at this site for help: [Mr. Lonon’s Physics Page](http://www.loudbug.com/physics/)

It has the textbook online that my class used. My teacher wrote it and it’s going to be published. (Because he finally finished it!) But it’s amazing. I have never had a teacher write their own textbook for us to use before. But yeah… Anyways. It’s helpful for physics.

Im in a similiar situation right now, all i can think of are college apps! I havent had my first physics test yet though…
