Then learn English first before you think about college.
Take High School courses first.
That was actually a different poster than the OP (DefineGravity wrote that in post #11, the OP is MichaelRobinson). I think what you wrote is still good advice, but wanted to clear that up.
ok i will and thank u
@MichaelRobinson I strongly suggest working on your English before even thinking of enrolling in college courses (assuming you’re in an English-speaking country). That includes using correct grammar/capitalization in your posts. Of course, no one’s expecting you or anyone else to be perfect, but at least try.
Also, be more specific with your posts! Don’t just say “ok,” “thank u,” etc. after all the helpful advice you’ve gotten.
@MITer94 i don’t talk English thats why
@MichaelRobinson that’s fine. But at least try. Judging from your posts, your current English ability will most certainly hinder you from any undergraduate education in any English-speaking country. Notice how everyone here is giving you the same advice?
By the way, you speak English. You don’t “talk” English.
@MITer94 I Don’t speak English too I speak spanish
Again, it would be in your best interest to work on improving your English skills even while posting on this board. Many of your posts are incoherent, which makes it difficult to advise you. What grade are you in? Are there any English as a Second Language resources at your school? What country are you in? Your short responses haven’t given us much information.
@elliebham i am in 9th grade and i live in United States and i have to find out if they do English at my homeschool i know at my old school they do English before i started homeschool
If you are in an English speaking school or country, you need to learn to speak English. Don’t worry about college courses. Focus on English.
@mathyone thank you
ok thank you @mathyone
Can you go to a public school to take some daily English classes?
Translation to Spanish: “?Puedes tomar clases de ingles en una escuela publica, diariamente?”
(Sorry, on IPad with no accent codes). I know I’m not supposed use a language other than English on CC, but I wanted to make sure the OP gets the info.
@“aunt bea” my mom like me doing homeschool better
Is your mom open to you taking college courses, then? Many homeschoolers use community college courses to supplement their homeschooling. A remedial English course or ESL course would benefit you greatly. To be frank, it doesn’t appear that your level of English is where it should be for your age/grade. If you don’t take steps to improving your English (speaking and writing), your prospects and opportunities for college are going to be much lower.
@elliebham yes my mom is open me to take college course and my homeschool do do English course because i asked them today and they say no do you know any homeschool that do English course or no
Just to clarify - you are taking English courses in this homeschool program, correct? I believe you need three to four years of English to graduate with a high school diploma.
@elliebham no i am not
Your previous posts indicate colloquial English skills and are varied. How can you go from one extreme to the other?
bromiando?
