and I'am quite happy with it, going up from a 1740 last time. Anyways, i wanted to apply to BU, and was wondering if I need to take the SAT subject tests. If so, is December a good time to take them cuz i cant take them in November. Is one month of dedicated study enough? I was planning on taking Math Level 2 and U.S.History...are these good choices for the short time period I have to study? Also, Does SUNY Binghampton require SAT subjects as well? Thanks for your help guys.

Boston requires two SAT subject tests, SUNY does not require any. Here is the policy at BU:

Yes take them in december, there really isn’t any other test date you could take them at

I took 4 of the SAT Subject Tests (Biology E, World History, U.S. History and Literature). I think it really depends on your strength in each subject as to how long to study.

For me, Literature and World History were pretty easy. I took one month before the test and just brushed up on basics & took some practice tests and ended up getting 700 in Lit and 680 in World History.
For Biology E and U.S. History I also took a month to study, but took things more seriously. 1hr 1/2- 2 hours of study every day, flash cards, 3-4 practice tests every week etc… I kind of failed U.S. History, not sure why (I scored 490) but did just fine on Biology E (660).
So I think if you test in two subjects you are already comfortable with, you should have a decent score if you take the tests in December.

Thanks guys, and what more schools do you guys recommend I look into with an 1890? Im applying to all the good sunys and cunys already as well.
