What SAT Subject Tests are the easiest to prepare for?

I have to take 2 SAT subject tests on January 22 in order to apply to BU. So that means I only have 3 weeks to study. Which ones are the easiest to prepare for in this period of time?

Good news, I'm a pretty quick learner and teach myself all my school subjects anyways, so I'm not too concerned. Bad news, the next couple of weeks are going to be absolute hell academic-wise, as I have a crapload of IB and AP stuff due. So I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to devote to studying.

OK here's a little more info that might help:
- I'd say my strongest subject SAT-wise is math. So I'm thinking I should maybe take the Math II subject test? Anybody know what it's on?
- I suck at CR. Half the answers always look right to me, and I hardly ever agree with the 'correct' answer. Not sure if any subject tests are like this.
- I took APUSH just last year, so maybe I should take the US history subject test?
- NO CHEM.
- Pretty decent at writing, 750 on SAT I. Are there any subject tests that integrate writing skills?
- I suck at languages, so those are out of the questions.
- What's up with bio? Haven't taken it since freshman year, but I hear its just memorization?

Thanks for any input.

you’ve pretty much answered your own question.

^ I concur with the above post. It sounds like Math 2 and US History are no brainers.

The US History subject test is supposed to be very similar to the AP multiple choice section. It would have been better if you took it last spring, but still seems like a wise choice.

Math 2 covers material through Pre-Calc. Generally good math students do better on Math 2 than on Math 1. Although the questions are harder, the curve is easier, e.g. you can miss more questions and get a higher score.

BTW, BU doesn’t require subject tests with the ACT. So one other option is to take the ACT instead. It might be easier to take the ACT with little to no prep than to take subject tests. The science section is the key one that is different than the SAT (I assume that you’ve taken the SAT already).

Math is the easiest any day any time

@sacchi - I did take it last spring ;D. Problem is, I had an absolute ***** apush teacher, and didn’t learn anything all year. Crammed from a Barron’s AP US prep book two nights before and got a 4 from pure short-term memorization. Unfortunately, this memorization has left me by now, and I’m probably back to square 1 in regards to knowledge of us history. Is the us history subject tests a test based off of memorization? like vocab and stuff? or is it a more comprehensive, application-based exam?

and yeah i think i’m going to go for math ii for sure, heard you can get like 5 wrong and still get an 800. does anyone know anything about the bio subject test? like i said before, i hear its all memorization and i’m pretty good at memorizing stuff.

Math II and US easily.

Get prep books for both (when possible buy the College Board versions, because they have real tests) and practice!!

thanks for the info guys, i actually was able to pirate some math ii and us history sat preparation books off the internet, as well as kaplan’s online course for math ii. looks like those will be the ones i’ll be taking!
