So I just got an email from UCLA...

From the admissions office saying that they've received my application. Now I'm a little worried, should I be expecting one from the other campuses I applied to as well? I applied to UCLA, SD, Berkeley and Irvine...

You do get those emails, but it takes a little time. I’m surprised they got it that quickly if you just applied yesterday though o_O

I just got an email from the application system, saying my application was successfully submitted. Should we supposed to have received emails from the individual campuses already? I thought that takes about 4 weeks…

What? I didn’t get any emails from any of the campuses including UCLA. did everyone get the email? O.o

I didn’t get any emails… I guess I was already rejected LOL

Here, I’ll take you through everything that’s happened, cuz I’ve gotten a few emails…

November 18: The day I apply I immediately receive a “UC Application Submission Confirmation” email

December 1: After the filing period is over and two weeks after I applied, I get a “UC Application Acknowledgment” email

Today, Dec. 2 about 10 AM: I get an email from UCLA Undergraduate Admissions telling me they’ve received my UC application

And that’s where I’m currently at…

Yep. Yesterday I got one from both UCLA and UCSB. I also applied to SD and Berkeley and haven’t heard from those specific campuses.

When I submitted the application, it didn’t say that you were supposed to get an email from each individual campus within the next couple of days. It just says: “In three to four weeks, you will receive an e-mail acknowledgment from the UC Application Processing Service. If you don’t receive one, contact the processing service (see below for contact information). In the meantime, you may review your receipt by logging in to your application with the e-mail address and password you used to apply.”
Am I missing something?! Should we get emails from all the campuses now?

The UC’s don’t send out emails to everyone. Instead they most likely send waves of email to a certain amount of students. This means everyone will get emails, just not at the same time. It’s probably more of a server precaution.

From now, until next year, you will get emails from the UC system and the individual schools that you applied to. Don’t be worried about not getting an email. If you applied to the school, you will get emails. The most important email you should be looking for is the UC app update. This is when you update all your Fall 2010 course grades and Planned courses (PL).

Relax folks, your nerves need a rest. Start panicking in April and May.

ps. Make sure you check your junk mail every so often.

I got the e-mail from UCLA too.
I submitted pretty early though.
