Ok, I can’t be the only one wondering this. I am wondering if classes can count more than once. For example, say I take a class in environmental studies, however it also cross references with religion or philosophy (an example would be environmental ethics), can that class count towards a major in environmental studies and also a minor in religion? I hope that makes sense. Thanks so much for helping me.

I don't go to Bates and don't know what their particular rules are, but most colleges will let you "double-count" a number of classes between two majors, a major and a minor, or a major and a college general requirement. You can probably find the information on the website of the registrar at Bates.
